Gathered Matter was a series of illuminated sculptures exhibited at Adamah Gallery in Columbus, Ohio in April 2025. Light functioned as the primary medium, shaping perception, defining form, and extending each piece beyond its physical structure. Through controlled illumination, the work explored movement, texture, and shadow as active conditions. Surfaces caught, diffused, and redirected light to create shifting atmospheres that evolved with the viewer’s position. The series examined human relationships through spatial and luminous interactions, considering how connection and disconnection are experienced in the spaces between.
